Tikal is the most famous city of the Maya World. Located in the Peten department in the north of Guatemala, it is a true reflection of the greatness of the Maya civilization. You can travel back in time as you enter the rainforest of this beautiful region, encountering monumental buildings from that glorious era of the Maya civilization, beautiful plazas that were ceremonial and astronomical observation centers.

Tikal Tour

You will be picked up at your hotel early in the morning and transferred to La Aurora International Airport to catch your flight to Flores. The flight duration is approximately 45 minutes. Upon arrival at Mundo Maya Airport, you will meet your local guide, an expert in the area, and be transferred to the archaeological site of Tikal. Upon arrival at the park, we will meet with our local guide to begin the jungle walk and admire the many species of local flora and fauna. Here, discover the impressive splendor of Tikal, which means 'place of voices.' The park, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979, covers an area of 576 square kilometers. Tikal is also part of the one-million-hectare Maya Biosphere Reserve created in 1990 to protect the dense forests of Petén. At the end of our jungle adventure, we will have time for lunch (included). We will then return to Mundo Maya Airport in Flores to catch our flight back to Guatemala City. Upon arrival in Guatemala City, you will be transferred to your hotel.
